The section reads: "The remedies available to the buyer and the seller for breach of contract are as follows: (a) damages, (b) specific performance, and (c) rescission." The section also provides that the buyer or the seller may claim damages for breach of contract, which may include compensation for loss of profit, expenses incurred, and other losses. The Supreme Court of India in the case of M/s. Keshavji Ravji & Co. v. The Commissioner of Income-tax, Bombay, AIR 1965 SC 1633, held that the buyer was entitled to claim damages for breach of contract, which included compensation for loss of profit and expenses incurred.
