A registered document means a document which is registered under the Registration Act, 1908, and includes a copy of such document which is attested by a registrar or sub-registrar. The registration of a document shall be deemed to be a delivery of the document, and the person to whom the document is registered shall be deemed to be the person to whom the document was delivered. The registration of a document shall be prima facie evidence of the execution of the document, and the person to whom the document is registered shall be deemed to be the person who executed the document.
