Statutory Content of Section 15

An under-lease is a contract whereby the under-lessee transfers the right to use the property to the under-lessee for a specified period. The under-lease must be in writing and registered. The property must be identified and the under-lease period must be agreed upon. The under-lease can be oral, but it must be registered within a specified period. The under-lease can be rescinded if the under-lessee fails to pay the rent within the specified period. The under-lease can also be rescinded if the under-lessor fails to deliver the property within the specified period. The under-lease can be assigned by the under-lessee to another person, but the assignment must be in writing and registered. The under-lease can be novated by the under-lessee to another person, but the novation must be in writing and registered.
