A contract of sale can be made in writing or by word of mouth. If the contract is made by word of mouth, it must be in writing if the property is worth more than Rs. 100. The contract must specify the price, the property being sold, and the terms of the sale. The contract can be made through an agent, and the agent must have the authority to act on behalf of the principal.
