Statutory Content of Section 7

The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, make rules for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Act. Such rules may provide for the manner in which the stamp duties and fees shall be collected, the form in which the records and accounts shall be maintained, and the manner in which the collections shall be distributed. The rules made under this section shall be laid before the State Legislature, and shall be subject to such modifications as the State Legislature may think fit to make.
