Section 50 of the Sale of Goods Act, 1930, provides that 'where the seller of goods has assured the buyer that the goods are of a certain quality or description, and the buyer has relied on such assurance, the buyer may, if the goods do not conform to such quality or description, claim damages for breach of warranty.' This section deals with the concept of assurance given by the seller to the buyer regarding the quality or description of goods, and the buyer's right to claim damages if the goods do not match the assured quality or description.
