Statutory Content of Section 30

Section 30 of the Sale of Goods Act, 1930, provides: 'Nothing in this Act shall affect the provisions of the Indian Contract Act, 1872, or any other law for the time being in force, relating to contracts of sale which are not to be performed immediately, or relating to any matter of which provision is not made in this Act, and not inconsistent with this Act'. This section clarifies that the Sale of Goods Act, 1930, does not override provisions of the Indian Contract Act, 1872, or other laws regarding contracts of sale that are not immediately performed or matters not covered by this Act, ensuring consistency and complementarity between legal frameworks.
