धारा 7

As per Section 7 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, 'The drawee must be named or otherwise indicated in the instrument with reasonable certainty.' The section further explains that 'A bill may be addressed to two or more drawees, whether they are partners or not; but the address may also be made to a drawee with the addition of "or order" or "or assigns", or to a drawee "for the account" of any person, or with any other words indicating that the bill is to be paid for the account of one person and that another person is to be debited therewith.'
