What does Section 16 of Partnership Act, 1932 say?

Every partner in a firm is liable jointly with the other partners and also severally for all acts committed on behalf of the firm, whether such act is done within the scope of his authority or not. The liability of a partner for a wrongful act alleged to be done in the ordinary course of the business of the firm is not affected by the fact that such act has been done by a person under a dishonestly obtained or excessive authority.
