What does Section 43 of Contract Act say?

Section 43 of the Indian Contract Act, 1872, addresses the situation where a person enters into a contract with no intention of fulfilling it. According to this section, if a person enters into a contract with no intention of performing it, or if, at the time of making the promise, the promisor was aware that the promisee did not know that the performance of the promise was impossible, the promisor must make compensation to the promisee for any loss which the promisee sustains through the non-performance of the promise.
