What does Section 52 of CPA say?

The Central Consumer Protection Authority shall consist of a Chief Commissioner and such number of other Commissioners as may be prescribed. As per Section 52 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, 'The Central Consumer Protection Authority shall consist of a Chief Commissioner and such number of other Commissioners as may be prescribed.' The Chief Commissioner and other Commissioners shall be appointed by the Central Government. The Chief Commissioner shall be the Chairperson of the Authority and shall have the powers of general superintendence and direction in respect of the Authority.
