What does Section 9 of Companies Act say?

A company may be registered under this Act in the following cases, namely: (a) where the company is to be formed by amalgamation of two or more companies or limited liability partnerships or partnership firms or Hindu undivided families or associations of persons or bodies corporate or any other entities; (b) where the company is to be formed by transfer of undertaking or a part of undertaking of a company or a limited liability partnership or a partnership firm or a Hindu undivided family or an association of persons or a body corporate or any other entity.
