What does Section 68 of Companies Act say?

The Central Government or any other authority may, by order, call for an explanation from a company or any of its officers or employees in respect of any matter. The company or the officer or employee shall furnish the explanation within the time specified in the order. The authority may also direct the company or the officer or employee to furnish any information, books or documents. The company or the officer or employee shall comply with the order of the authority.
