What does Section 11 of Companies Act say?

A company may be registered under this Act, and the registration of a company under this Act shall be the sole authority for the commencement of the business of the company. The Central Government shall, on receipt of an application for registration of a company, verify the documents and information furnished by the applicant and, if satisfied, issue a certificate of incorporation. The certificate of incorporation shall be conclusive evidence that all the requirements of this Act in respect of registration and matters precedent and incidental thereto have been complied with. The company shall be registered as a public company or a private company, as the case may be, and the registration of a company under this Act shall be the sole authority for the commencement of the business of the company.
