Statutory Content of Section 29

If a document required to be registered under section 17 is presented for registration after the period of six months from the date on which the power of presenting it first devolves on a transferee or a legal representative of the person by whom it might have been presented, the registrar shall, on payment of double the fee prescribed for the registration of the document, register the document and shall endorse on it the words 'presented late' and the date on which it was presented.
