Where a cheque, when it was drawn, did not contain a particular direction, and the cheque has been altered in order to give effect to such direction, the burden of proving that the alteration was made with the drawer's consent, shall be on the holder. The cheque shall be presumed to have been altered after it was drawn, unless the contrary is proved.
