When the acceptance of any bill of exchange, hundi or cheque is written or printed or partly written and partly printed on the bill itself, the date thereof shall, unless the contrary is proved, be deemed to be the date of the acceptance. When the acceptance is written or printed or partly written and partly printed on a separate slip of paper, the date of the acceptance shall be deemed to be the date on which the slip was affixed to the bill, unless the contrary is proved.
