Statutory Content of Section 88

Act not intended to cause death, done by consent in good faith for person's benefit.—Nothing which is not intended to cause death, and which is done in good faith for the benefit of the person doing it without any intention to cause harm, and done in spite of the risk of harm, if the circumstances were such that it was impossible for the person doing the act to judge of the effects, is an offence, provided that the thing done is such as a person of ordinary prudence and caution would have done under the circumstances.
