Statutory Content of Section 88

If the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order in writing, supersede the Board of Directors of a company, and where such an order has been made, the Government shall, as soon as may be, appoint a new Board to manage the affairs of the company, and the Board so appointed and the officers and employees of the company shall, as soon as may be, be handed over to the new Board.
