If, at any time, the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do in the public interest, it may, by order, supersede the Regional Director for such period, not exceeding six months, as may be specified in the order, and on the expiry of the period, the Regional Director shall be deemed to have been reinstated.
