If the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order, supersede the Board of Directors of a company, and where any such order has been made, the Board of Directors of the company shall be deemed to be vacated, and the Central Government may, during the period of such supersession, exercise all such powers of the company as the Board of Directors might exercise.
