Statutory Content of Section 65

Section 65 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 deals with the termination of the mandate of an arbitrator. The section states that the mandate of an arbitrator shall terminate upon the expiry of the period of his appointment or upon the completion of his tasks. The section also provides that the mandate of an arbitrator may be terminated by the parties or by the arbitral tribunal or by the court. The section further provides that the termination of the mandate of an arbitrator shall not affect the validity of any award made by him prior to the termination.
