What does Section 26 of Registration Act, 1908 say?

Every document required to be registered under section 17 shall be presented for registration within a period of six months from the date of its execution, and if it is not presented within that period, it shall be presented within a period of six months from the date on which the power of presenting it first devolves on a transferee or a legal representative of the person by whom it might have been presented.
