Section 205

Section 205 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925, provides that the property of a person who dies intestate, and has an adopted child, shall be distributed according to the provisions of this Act. The section reads: "The property of a person dying intestate shall be distributed in the following manner: (c) if the intestate has left an adopted child, the property shall be distributed between the adopted child and the other heirs according to the provisions of this Act." This section applies to all persons who die intestate, and have an adopted child.
